Had the everything bagel with a spicy dill pickle smear. The toasted bagel was crispy on the outside and had a nice chew. The bagel seed toppings were plentiful and distributed well. The smear had subtle dill flavor and a kick that continued with the hot spice. A little bit on the pricier side but a nice treat to try.

I had been wanting to try Bagel Bar after seeing it promoted by a food influencer on Instagram. It was marketed by this Insta profile as some of the best bagels in Edmonton, but I found them just okay.
At $3.50 each, they’re on the pricier side—though they do offer two free if you buy 10, bringing a dozen total to $35. Even with that deal, I didn’t quite see what made these stand out.
I also tried a couple of the specialty cream cheeses. The salmon cream cheese was decent, and their prices for specialty spreads are in line with other providers. As for the cookies- cute branding (“Chonk”) they’re huge but a bit pricey at $5 each. I brought everything to work, and the feedback was mixed—about the Chonk cookie, someone said it was the biggest cookie they’d ever had, but I didn’t hear anyone call it the best.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but for the price, I expected more.

The bagels are absolutely extraordinary! I can’t even bring myself to cutting them and buttering them, I just devour them as is.!!!
The chonks are also out of this world! The name is perfect because it clearly describes their size!!
Yes, definitely pricey but yes, hands-down worth every penny!!!
One can just pop in for a bagel n cream cheese to go…found that out yesterday

Found this place while taking a walk.
The bagels and cream cheese are really tasty so there’s no debate there, you’ll truly enjoy that. I’ll definitely want to comeback for other flavours!
Can’t ignore the fact that they are expensive, no denying that too. I feel, if the size of the bagel was bigger by 1.5 times then it could justify the price.
It’s a small cute place with 4 tall chairs to sit.
So all in all the 4 stars is purely for the TASTE, which is a must try - once at least!

Chonk is a tiny little hole in the wall establishment on 99 Street. Please check their hours before you go...I have often arrived and they are closed.
The bagels here are amazing! Great variety and deliciously chewy! They also have a few great spreads available.
The service was very kind, positive and informative.
The space is tiny. It's more of a order and go type of service.
Overall, incredible bagel specialty experience.
