Ordered a cake for my son's 1 Birthday along with another cake after reading all the amazing reviews here, turned out it was a Nightmare. When we called her to inquire and finalize, she was very confident and clearly agreed that she can make all the designs exactly as in the cake. Please see picture of design and the cake made by Cake Studio. Later when we got the picture of the cake, we were so surprised that she could not even match the color of frosting on top (picture had white, but they decided to just use the same left over frosting for the top as well). When we called to inquire, story completely changed and we were told that the picture/design was only for reference and she does not make everything similar as in the design sent, but seriously atleast the top white color too? How hard was that? Also the name in the block of the design had Baby's name written using frosting or fondant and it was a small area where the name is written. However what we found is she does not have the skill to write names with Frosting, instead she finds kids names on cardboard paper or prints them and sticks it to the cake, and thats why the entire length of the name area was so large to accommodate the name printed in paper. Secondly none of the designs in the original design she could reproduce and she just made whatever in her skill she could and it was a complete nightmare for my son's 1 Birthday cake. Also later the communication stopped after that when we informed all the flaws. This whole thing is happening the night before the event and she goes like I can give you back the Deposit and you do not have to take the cake which we could not believe at her response and showed how unprofessional and arrogant the person is. Also the day of the pickup we were told that they had to leave somewhere and her friend would hand over the cake. We kept messaging from our phone and no response about the remaining balance and if the friend will be there on time to hand over the cakes which stressed us out. Later we texted from another phone and we got the response which shows how we were ignored on the first phone messages to stress us out on Baby's birthday event day Now coming to the taste of the cake, the small cake in picture was Mango flavor and was okayish, however we ordered another cake as well along with this and that was Pistachio flavor and we could not taste any Pistachio flavor in it, instead it was all vanilla sponge we could taste and the cake was so dry which made us believe it was all done in a hurry and not considering customer in mind. Overall really bad experience and unprofessional. Also most of the cakes shown in instagram are just plain cakes with limited fondant work and playing with Cake toppers which does not need much skill. We had cakes made exactly as per our design picture before and there is no copyright involved for them so not sure why she cannot make atleast almost similar design. This tells the Lack of skill and nothing else. Everytime there is a call or text message (which happened atleast 15 times or so) she agrees something and does the complete opposite and tries to convince us by saying that would look better that what we said. Completely Unacceptable. This is our personal experience.
