I spent ages searching for a decent gourmet gift basket that wasn't crazy expensive. I finally landed on Calgary Basketeers, and I'm really glad I chose to go with them. They have both delivery and pick-up options, which makes them way more flexible than a lot of gift basket companies in town. And they do custom baskets for pretty much any budget, which is exactly what I needed. For $50, I got a nicely arranged basket with 2 dozen cookies, popcorn, and some kind of brittle. All home made, to boot.
Most importantly, the couple I got the basket for was absolutely thrilled to receive it! They are regular customers with a couple similar companies in town, but say they will definitely be looking into using Calgary Basketeers themselves.
