I have never been to this long time bakery..while I understand it's not Original ownership, the European flair is evident. We ordered specific pastries for a Swiss event. They were generous size, very freshly made for us, and the service was exceptional. Friendly assistance to the car, and a genuine thank you for supporting their biz.

Ordered a surprise bag through Too Good To Go (at 8:30 am!) and they immediately cancelled my order. Don’t list that you have 2 still available if you indeed… don’t. Poor service, I was really excited to try your bakery until this happened.

I’ve read some of the other reviews and am really surprised at them. I think that people should extend kindness to the people who work here. The owners’ daughter, who works long hours at another job THEN comes to help her parents at the bakery, has a direct, but not rude, personality, which I find very refreshing. If kindness is extended, it is returned. People should stop being so expectant of receiving kindness and forgetting to give it. We return again and again for their strudel, donuts, pretzels and breads -they’re ultra-fresh and well-priced. I think their bismarcks and glazed donuts are the best in the city!! My husband, Marc, and I will continue to shop for years to come, we enjoy our visits and treats so much.

I don't live in Edmonton anymore, but whenever I'm in town I try to come by for the doughnuts. This is, in my opinion, one of the most honest, down to earth bakeries in Edmonton. The product is made with care, the service is direct but I've never found it to be rude, just efficient, and the doughnuts are phenomenal with excellent pricing. Being coddled and asked about your day and expecting a back and forth with questions about your day can be nice, but is not the point of such a physically small neighborhood bakery. Being served well and respectfully with great prices and excellent product in a timely fashion is. Love this place
