Love this place, I’m ashamed I haven’t reviewed it sooner! my family and I were introduced to this place many years ago and now its the main place we go to when we celebrate a birthday in the family! the prices are a bit high comparing to the grocery store cakes but you’re paying for quality, it’s unmatched. The taste, the designs, the customer service you are treated with is absolutely fantastic 👍 my husband and I have eaten in store as well, they have great food inside and many wonderful choices to choose from. Their pizza was Divine! And for after if you don’t want a whole cake they have individual choices in which we sometimes treat ourselves too, their cheesecake is to die for and so are many of their other options! 10/10 best place to grab a sweet treat in Winnipeg!

I absolutely love this store – they have the best chocolate cake in the city! On my last visit, the cake wasn’t on display, but when I asked the cashier about it, she kindly brought one out from the kitchen. It was exactly what we wanted and so delicious. The staff are always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better.
I also really like shopping here because they offer a wide selection of quality groceries, and everything is always fresh. Highly recommend!

Update 20250816
Checking the calendar… today is clearly a good day for cake. Off we went to our little Italian hidden gem for its once-a-year dessert day.
Two scoops of gelato: one dedicated to pistachio, the other to classic chocolate.
— The angel girl from the basketball court sneakily scooped me a full cup of gelato when I wasn’t looking. I know she is a friend angel —
The pistachio gelato was delicious. Although I’ve had what I consider the pistachio “gold standard” at an authentic Italian shop on the tourist street in Quebec, our village newcomer’s pistachio gelato held its own. The pistachio flavor was subtle and light, with fresh and crunchy pistachio pieces (much fresher than those in Häagen-Dazs pistachio). Not overly sweet, and creamy from the first bite. It may not have the melt-in-your-mouth finesse of big-city artisan shops, but this small-town maker has its own secret weapon: the aftertaste carried a hint of grain — “Ah, I’m the kid who never went to after-school tutoring” — which probably means they’re using some seriously high-quality milk.
The second scoop, right below, was classic chocolate: bittersweet, just the right balance. Next time, I’ll try chocolate with brownie.
I’ve realized that good gelato always stays within my sweetness comfort zone — unlike those $4-for-1.5L tubs from the supermarket.

Now, onto the three cakes. Their price is running higher than I came last time, again. You know what I mean, every times I came back, the prices of cakes jumped a bit.
They always rotate the cake menu; none are permanent fixtures, no matter how well they sell.
Today’s three beauties in Photo 3, from left to right: Mocha Mousse, Oreo Cream, White Chocolate Pistachio.
Verdict first: the Mocha Mousse left the deepest impression. The other two tasted exactly as I’d imagined — delicious, but without big surprises.
The Mocha Mousse likely had liquor mixed into the cream. One bite revealed a lively layering of chocolate and cheese flavors. It’s like a little boat swaying gently, with a playful glimmer — sweet yet bitter, bitter yet fragrant, with a complex texture.
Oreo Cheesecake was exactly what you expect, and it was good.
The White Chocolate Pistachio was the one I looked forward to most, but it left me a little disappointed — maybe because my expectations were high. The whipped cream with white chocolate was tasty, the pistachio flavor just right, and the chopped pistachios added nice texture. But the cake base was just two layers of plain chiffon with a layer of pistachio cream — not quite living up to its grand name.
Thanks to the medium-roast Americano for cleansing my palate. Not expensive, made with Italian beans, decent — though my favorite coffee spot is elsewhere.

We love to come here for pizza and desserts.
The store side also has some good selection of produce and fresh meat and fish
