Located in the Ritchie Market, this is a smaller retail outlet for the Duchess Bake Shop. Not as big of a selection of items as their main bakery on 124 Street but still the same great quality. We tried a number items and they were excellent. On a weekday (Thursday), there was ample free parking in the Ritchie Market parking lot across the street. On a weekend I would imagine parking may be more difficult to find.

The picture says it all. Tiny but mighty. Flavourful in ways you won’t expect. We drive from YYC to come here and nothing compares. Selection is solid with many modern takes on traditional pastries as well as classics. Outdoor seating is perfect for warm weather days. Highly recommend as it’s worth the 300km drive. We’ve tried many things from croissants to cookies and beyond. The only way you’ll be disappointed is if you don’t go. Or you go too late in the day and they sell out!

Little Duchess in Ritchie is the smaller sister of the large bakery on 124 Street. They have many of the same pastries and dishes as the larger one. This one shares a space with a few other businesses (butcher, coffee shop, restaurant, etc.). The staff is always friendly and happy to give recommendations. It's nice to see that the area is getting more local things to check out! The space is inclusive and all on one level - which makes easy access for wheelchairs and walkers. There is street parking around the area, which is sometimes quite busy, so you tend to have to park and then walk a bit to your final destination. Worth stopping in for sure.
