Since new owners bought Narural bakery the quality of the bread has hit bottom. Loaves are much smaller and I would always purchase Hanover Rye and 6 Grains. The Hanover definitely does not taste the same and doesn't toast like it used to. With the good old Natural Bakery I could toast it till it had some colour and a bit of a crunch. Now no matter how long I toast it, the colour is beige and no crunch!! As for the 6 Grain, what is mostly visible are some poppy seeds!! I threw the Hanover in the garbage and kept the 6 Grain because it toasts a bit better. I will absolutely no longer buy Natural Bakery Bread. Such a disappointment!,

Natural Bakery retail store is no more..closed to the public..purchased by an Mexican company which is buying up the smaller bakeries in Canada..expect to pay higher prices for their products at Safeway and other grocery stores...I should add that i will no longer be buying Natural Bakery bread from wherever it's being sold.."City Bread" for me right from their store on Dufferin Avenue...
