Had a great experience at PappaRoti Calgary. I tried the Karak Chai and the OG Bun, and both were really good. The Karak Chai was flavorful and comforting, and the OG Bun was soft, warm, and perfectly fresh. Such a cozy spot to relax and enjoy a tasty snack. Definitely worth trying if you love chai and fresh buns!

I’ve been here a couple of times and tried their signature buns. The OG bun is good, the classic banana Nutella one is really really good. My friend tried the Crazy for Kaya one and she really liked it - it had some kind of grated coconut spread type topping.
I’ve tried the mango one another time for and it was only okay. Have also tried their pesto focaccia (not sure if that’s what it’s called) and it was pretty tasty too.
My first time getting Spanish latte I think I got just regular latte 😅 but the second time they got the Spanish latte right and it was really good.
Definitely try the buns and their coffee 👌❤️

Recently my husband and I had a disappointing experience at Pappa Roti, although we used to really like this place. We often came here to enjoy their delicious coffee and their signature buns.
A couple of weeks ago we stopped by for breakfast in a good mood and, as usual, ordered a large cappuccino. Unfortunately, the coffee was very weak — it tasted mostly like water and milk, with almost no coffee flavor, and the foam was very thin. We were already sitting there discussing that the coffee quality seemed to have gone down and that maybe we should stop coming here.
At that moment someone from the management (possibly a manager or the owner) came over and asked how everything was. We honestly said that we didn’t like the coffee. To our surprise, they immediately offered to replace it. The new coffee was excellent — rich flavor and nice thick foam, just like it used to be. We sincerely appreciated their attention and thanked them.
Unfortunately, today, on International Women's Day, we decided to come back again for coffee and buns, hoping for the same good experience. But once again the coffee was very disappointing — almost no flavor and no proper foam, more like milk with water. We didn’t want to argue or ruin our holiday mood, so we didn’t say anything.
There are also a few other things that have been inconvenient. The staff are generally polite, but several times we have noticed that the floors are being washed while customers are still sitting and drinking their coffee. This feels uncomfortable and a bit disrespectful, especially on a holiday.
Another small downside is that there is no water available for customers, and after drinking coffee it’s natural to want a glass of water. Also, out of the two restrooms, usually only one is open and it is locked, so you have to ask the staff for the key every time, which is not very convenient.
Honestly, all of these things could be tolerated if the coffee quality were consistently good. But when the coffee is very weak and tasteless for the second time, it makes you feel that there is no consistency in how it is prepared.
It almost feels like you can only get a good coffee here when management is present. That’s really unfortunate, because we truly liked this place before. Today we had several options for where to go, and we regret choosing this café.
We hope the management will pay attention to the consistency of the coffee and the overall customer experience, because this place really has great potential.

Visited Pappa Rori for the hot chocolate festival with my sister. Although downtown is a construction mess, we were able to find this cute cafe because we were walking. Delicious Classic Coffee Bun is a must have here!

This café truly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was flavorful and beautifully served, and the coffee buns were outstanding – they made my iced latte smooth, rich, and refreshing. A cozy spot with great taste and quality. Definitely worth coming back!
