I ordered a custom cake for my wife's celebration, and I honestly couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It was absolutely stunning — a true work of art. Every detail I asked for was there, and somehow it looked even better than I imagined.

You can really tell it was made with care and skill. It made the whole celebration feel extra special, and my wife was blown away. Huge thanks to Iryna for creating something so beautiful and delicious — it really made the day unforgettable.

We ordered a cake for my daughter’s first birthday. We were very disappointed with how it turned out. There were cracks all over the cake and banner placement wasn’t even. There were supposed to be flowers and there were 3 little flat stamps that looked like maybe a flower? The bird was made out of a styrofoam ball wrapped in fondant, thank god we checked before my daughter bit into it.

This will be long, but I urge you to read to the end, as this may save you some frustration.
I have previously ordered from the pastry chef and did leave a five star review. Unfortunately, no amount of good experience can compensate for what went on this past weekend.
My sister ordered from this person a birthday cake for her grand baby’s first birthday. Important to mention that we’ve ordered from the owner, that also goes by Ukrainian Catering Edmonton, several times before and everything was good.
So needless to say that when she ordered this time, no backup dessert was ordered, based on past positive experience. Everything was discussed and advance, my sister pointed the important elements that she wanted and provided a photo (the one that says Catalina on it) of what she wanted. One of the key elements was the birdie that my grand niece was going to be handed and eat and smash, and do what a one year old would do with a yummy treat.
There were several issues with the cake that my sister discovered when it was delivered, and of course, after overcoming the disappointment with the delivered product (which was $300) my sister pointed those out to the owner, in a very polite and none confrontational manner, simply indicating that this is not entirely what was agreed upon. Rather than replying with a simple “I’m sorry”, the owner decided to argue back excusing it with other big catering jobs she had that day, and to add insult to injury even said “if you don’t like it, give me the address and I’ll come and pick it up right now”. Now, keeping in mind that this was a big family gathering, without any backup, and to avoid bigger conflict, my sister declined the very aggressive proposition.
But wait, there’s more! Remember how the birdie was supposed to be edible? There was a styrofoam ball inside it! When this was brought up to this business owner, the response was far from professional and the opposite of apologetic. There is no past positive experience that can compensate for lack of professional and pure disregard for safety, this was a cake for a baby! Shame on such poor practices, and complete lack of desire to resolve this in a professional manner. If I could give less than 1 star, I would!
What reflects the poor attitude even more is her response to criticism, as some of the comments below reflect what this business owner is truly all about. Such a shame! She also indicated on her Instagram (deleted, but not before a screenshot was made) indicating to her followers that we are not be dealt with because we are “neighbours”, referring to the fact that we speak Russian… what a joke!

We ordered this cake for a boxer, the cake was Ferrero Rocher flavored. The cake was delicious and all the guests loved it! Thank you for this masterpiece!

Our wedding cake turned out perfect and held up excellent on our 5+hour drive to our venue. Also, it was absolutely tasty. Everyone was super impressed with the texture and flavour. We would definitely recommend Irina for any cakes you have in mind.
