I was searching for butter tarts like I used to get decades ago from Grandma's Kitchen, and Pearson's Berry Farm was the top listing in Google, so I decided to visit this location in the Crossroads Market. They have traditional butter tarts with raisins as well as other variations such as Saskatoon Berry, chocolate, and coconut. The crusts are made the old-fashioned way with lard, so you'll have to practice some restraint if you're watching your cholesterol. However, they do taste better than commercially produced butter tarts sold in supermarkets so I would recommend that you give this place to try.

we felt really bad making the owner and his wife wait for 30 minutes after closing because we were running late to pick up their pie , but they were very nice about it,and the pie was so good!!

Pearson’s Berry Farm offers absolutely amazing locally sourced products. I love that they have a wide selection of flavours, and products. Their cooking sauces are delicious, and so are their Saskatoon berry sodas and slushes. They’re also amazing at creating unique treats - like tiny pie crusts with pie filling that you scoop into it as a small yet delicious snack. Plus, they’re all very friendly. It has been cool to see them graduate from kiosk to store to bigger store in their Cross Iron location!
