Bought a cake from the glass display at Sobeys for my son’s birthday. I asked the bakery lady if she could add and my son’s name, but she said she wasn’t allowed to write on the cake—only give me a sign. She wasn’t friendly about it either. It was disappointing, especially for a birthday. Sobeys should improve service and flexibility for simple requests like this.
She spoke so quietly, almost whispering, I could barely hear her.

I actually witnessed the manager/supervisor, Rhonda, berating a cashier. It was disgusting and very unsettling behaviour. Not professional whatsoever. This poor cashier, whom I have had the pleasure of interacting with on several occasions, is the sweetest, most sincere and such a lovely young women. Working with customers is a very tough, thankless job and having a “leader” treat anyone in such a way is nothing short of workplace harassment. Rhonda, you should be ashamed. The customers who witnessed this were appalled at your behaviour.

We shop at this store very frequently. Today's transaction was not pleasant. Cashier name Haili was focused in her conversation she was having with a co worker about personal things that when I asked her a question she ignored it and kept talking.

Beautiful high end Sobeys store. Easy street access with lots of free parking. Food selection and presentation is excellent. Clean and well stocked. They have many food products you won't find elsewhere. I recommend!
