Unfortunately, this is the worst cake I’ve ever had. If you don’t want to be frustrated on your birthday do not order your cake here.

Dont get me wrong, I love the cakes they have in store because they taste like a lot of effort was put into them and with high quality ingredients. So much so that when they mentioned that they are starting to do made to order cakes, I wanted one for my birthday. I ordered a week in advance. The lady who explained the cake to me said that it would be like their in-store cakes, but bigger like a sheet cake. She asked me how many cakes I wanted and I said I would like 9 carrot cakes) so imagine a 3x3 of how their carrot cakes are sized). She asked me to write down the name I wanted on the cake and I did. We agreed pick up would be at 10am since she mentioned from 9am-10am they needed to get everything ready. I agreed. The cake came out to $80 and that was that. I came back to the store to pick up one week later at 10:30pm (today). The same lady that took my order the week before was present at the counter. I hand my receipt to the attendant beside her to get my cake, both go in the kitchen. Lady who took my order the week before said there would be a wait. All good, perhaps they were busy. She comes back out to ask for my name because the person who took my order did not take my name down. As stated before, this same lady told me to write my name down the week before so I was lied to, to my face and she kept on insisting on this lie. I was perplexed as she was the one who guided me through my order the week before. I wait some more, she comes back out and to the store owner’s credit they’ve gifted me 3 types of bread to try. Still waiting. Wait some more. The cake finally comes out and it does not look like a 9-piece of their carrot cake at all I’d paid $80 for (pictured). Just tried the cake and it is nowhere to how it usually is. The cake is crumbly, there’s a strange hole in the back of the cake, the cake is slanted on one corner and most importantly—the cake tastes watery. All of this for $80 and with advance notice and with great communication the week prior. I am severely disappointed. Don’t order your cake here unless you want them to mismanage your order and give you a disappointing cake. I wish I was joking as I actually agreed with their other reviews. I would’ve loved to have just eaten the cake even with all the disappointments so far but this cake was EONS from what they sell in store. I could not even finish my first square.

I just passed by to grab a coffee during my visit to my doctor at the same complex. Staff was so helpful and kind. The place is clean and the atmosphere is cool. Taste was also very good.

**A Charming Bakery Gem: A Food Blogger’s Delight**

Nestled within the bustling Tawa Centre, this adorable bakery should undoubtedly be atop your must-visit list, whether you’re planning a hangout with friends or a special outing.

My introduction to this bakery happened via Uber Eats. I sampled their delightful croissant selection, indulging in Pistachio, Almond, and Hazelnut varieties. Each croissant was a masterclass in pastry perfection—puffy, flaky, and imbued with the perfect richness of butter. If you’re in the mood to embark on a croissant journey, these are a must-try.

Eager for more, my second experience was an in-person visit with a friend. Here's what we enjoyed:

**Pistachio Latte:** Opting for the cold variant, I was delighted by the nutty depth and delightful brown buttery topping. The pistachio flavor married beautifully with the robust espresso and creamy milk, producing a gratifying beverage experience.

**Chocolate Pistachio Cake:** This dessert was a revelation. The dark, slightly intense chocolate intertwined flawlessly with the subtle, yet distinctive pistachio notes. Each bite delivered a rich, yet refreshing indulgence, offering a symphony of flavors that dance and evolve on the palate from beginning to end.

This charming bakery is a haven for all pastry aficionados. Whether ordering from the comfort of your home or visiting for an indulgent experience, it promises delightful treats that are sure to captivate your taste buds.

I had just finished an appointment near by & saw this location & popped in. I am so happy I did, cause the desserts were delicious. My favourite was the pistachio and normally that’s not a flavour I go for but the woman who help with my order recommended it. I will definitely be coming back with family or friends as it looked like such a cute spot for a brunch or date.
