Been a few years since we've been to Sweet Rice. Everything is gluten free. Loving the spacious digs with 15 seats. Constant flow of people when we went on a Friday afternoon. Appreciate there's no tip option when you pay.
- Fries ($3.00)
- Popcorn chicken ($8.50) - good crunch, juicy chicken. Perfect for a snack
- Dozen mochi donuts ($42.00) - lemon poppyseed, ube brown butter, mango raspberry, maple (DF), s’more, honey crueller (DF) and chocolate cruller. Favourite were the cruellers

Sweet Rice is a fantastic donut café that really stands out. The donuts are incredibly fresh, soft, and full of unique, creative flavors you don’t see everywhere. You can tell they put real care into both the taste and presentation. The coffee pairs perfectly, and the whole place has a welcoming, relaxed vibe. Staff are friendly and quick, making it an easy spot to pop in or stay and enjoy. Definitely a go-to if you’re craving something a little different and done right.

The mochi donuts are amazing. I love when I visit and my family picks them up for us.
At their new location, they also offer burgers, fries, and curry rice. Everything was really, really good. The only thing we didn’t enjoy as much was that the burger bun was a bit dry. Other than that, the flavours were spot on, and the beef in the curry was incredibly tender, melt in your mouth goodness.

Had the chance to visit this place. Being from Winnipeg this was the first time having a mochi donut. So many flavors!
My favorite one was the Oreo ube.
When meeting Mike and Naomi (owners) you can see the love and passion that goes into their products.
Not only do they offer desserts they also savory food items too. The onagiri, musubi and the popcorn chicken were delicious!
They process their own chicken meat for the popcorn! 🤯🤯
Next time I'm in town will definitely be visiting again!

A hidden gem for gluten-free treats! The doughnuts and corn dogs were absolutely delicious — fresh, comforting, and full of flavour. The staff were so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back to Sweet Rice again soon!
