The Shoppe Cafe

Delicious treats and excellent service!

I recently visited The Shoppe and was thoroughly impressed. The pastries were absolutely mouthwatering – flaky croissants, decadent cakes, and everything in between. The coffee was also top-notch. The portion size is huge and perfect for group gatherings.

But what really made my experience special was the exceptional service from Jhamila. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful time. Even suggested me what to go with when I was confused because there is just so much. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!

The Shoppe is an essential place to visit whether you are a Saskatoon local or visiting the city. I had a great time here, the desserts are delicious and the interior of the cafe is beautiful and perfect for pictures! I’d have to say that what stood out most to me about The Shoppe is the great customer service. I’d like to say a special thanks to Rhea from The Shoppe who made my visit more memorable. Rhea was welcoming from the moment I entered the door. You can tell that the manager puts thought into who they hire as they choose such kind people like Rhea! I’ll be sure to go to The Shoppe again when visiting the city. Love from Calgary!

They Shoppe may have reincarnated Little Bird (RIP), but the new version falls for the same over-the-top hyper Instagrammable sentiment of The Shoppe. The war on sensuality continues…. Can we not just have a croissant? Now it must be double the size, filled with coloured cream, and iced with glaze and sprinkles.

That’s my personal aside, but the reason for my review was the less than social media worthy state of the interior. Pastries were left out on a rack where people were walking around, staff items cluttering the back chairs, cases disorganized. Why are there so many shopping baskets?

I had such a wonderful experience at the Shoppe. The atmosphere was cozy, the food and coffee were amazing, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service from Jam. She was so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure everything was perfect during my visit. Jam’s friendly attitude and attention to detail really made my day. If you’re looking for a cafe with great vibes and outstanding service, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere at The Shoppe. The coffee and sweet offerings were delightful, and the food was quite tasty. However, the limited table space for only two people and the somewhat slow service were minor drawbacks. Overall, a pleasant experience worth a visit.
