Whimsical Cake Studio

I knew the cake itself would be delicious, since I absolutely love their mini cupcakes (melt-in-your-mouth buttercream icing with inventive nostalgic flavours), but the decoration blew me away!!
I couldn't be more happy with how the cake I ordered for my friend's baby shower turned out! The consultation was so smooth and stress-free. They were able to be creative with the pictures I provided them of the planned theme and executed the details I specified to perfection!
I can't get over the cuteness!
I would highly recommend this cake studio to anyone looking for a scrumptious, adorable treat. Worth every penny!

We ordered cake for my daughter's birthday party from here. The design of the cake was exactly what we wanted, and the flavors were spot on as well. However, the crust was very dry and hard, so much that it took over the flavors and became the talking point of the party. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest. For the price of $150 one would not expect such a shoddy work. This is something which clearly could have been avoided as visibly the crust does not seem normal for a vanilla flavored cake.

Edit - Was contacted by the owner and provided an explanation regarding the mistake. The owner was apologetic and will be crediting the money back as the cake was not up to their standards. I understand that errors happen, but what I appreciate more is the honesty and fairness of the owner. Hence, I have updated my rating from 2 to 4 stars.

Darcey and her team at Whimsical Cake Studio did an amazing job on our wedding cakes - we had three. They were so unique, flavorful, and tailored to meet the dietary restrictions required for one of our cakes (gluten and dairy free).

After another memorable encounter with Darcy from this delightful business on Whyte Ave, I wanted to share a sextet of amazing cupcakes she and her team created. As you can see, the Beatles are one of my passions. And my God, you can see the Capitol Records label! How do they do that??!! That is the attention to detail I have come to appreciate and expect from these artists. Besides lovely Belle and ferocious Godzilla from past birthdays, this was my turn for a birthday treat. This business is more than a just a cake shop.

Whimsical Cake Studio was amazing!! We had an issue with another cake studio leaving us with the shortest notice possible to not be able to do our wedding cake. We went into Whimsical Cake Studio on a Sunday, and they were able to make our cake dreams come true for our wedding with pick up on friday morning!! They were honest about being busy and what they could and could not do, which I appreciated. But the cake turned out 100% amazing!! The flavor of the cake was vanilla velvet, and peanut butter icing. It was super yummy, plus looked awesome!!

If anyone is looking for a custom cake in Edmonton, I would 100% recommend the Whimsical Cake Studio, I feel like they could do any cake you wanted!!
